Clinic queue systems in Malaysia: your options

Malaysian clinics run their queue in three main ways: a dedicated queue app such as QueueMed, which lets patients join from home and get WhatsApp reminders; the queue screen and ticket printer that come with a clinic management system such as MedicalMet; or a simple number dispenser at the counter. Neither QueueMed nor MedicalMet's queue add-ons have a ringgit price we could confirm, so ask for a quote.

What to check before you choose

  1. Walk-ins and appointments together. Can the front desk mix both in one queue without confusing patients?
  2. Patients without smartphones. Older patients still need a printed number or a call at the counter.
  3. Reminders that do not annoy. Check how many messages a patient gets, and that WhatsApp costs are clear.
  4. Personal data. Names, phone numbers and visit reasons are personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010; ask where they are stored and who can see them.
  5. Fit with your clinic system. If you already use a clinic management system, find out whether the queue connects to it or runs beside it.

Where Arogya fits

Arogya by DaulatLabs is planned for the front desk of a clinic: the queue, appointments and patient follow-up. It is not a full clinic management system with dispensing and billing. It is in development and not open for sign-up, there is no launch date to share, and it has no clinics or reviews yet. Clinics can register interest on the Arogya page.
