Condos, JMBs and MCs

  • Visitor management and JMB apps in Malaysia, compared. The apps Malaysian condos and gated taman meet most often are i-Neighbour, JaGaApp, Condo Master with Veemios, CSS Home, GPROP and MyTaman, with newer names such as KipleHome and CondoOS.
  • Maintenance fee vs sinking fund: what the law says. In a Malaysian condo or strata landed scheme, the maintenance fee (called Charges in the Strata Management Act 2013) pays for day-to-day running costs, while the sinking fund saves for larger works such as repainting and replacing fixtures.
  • JMB vs MC: who runs your building, and when. A JMB (joint management body) runs a strata development after the developer and before strata titles are issued; its members are the developer and the purchasers.

  • CRM for insurance agents in Malaysia: your options. Most insurance agents in Malaysia use one of three things to track clients and renewals: their insurer's own agent app, a general CRM with a free plan such as HubSpot or Bigin, or a spreadsheet with WhatsApp.
  • Clinic queue systems in Malaysia: your options. Malaysian clinics run their queue in three main ways: a dedicated queue app such as QueueMed, which lets patients join from home and get WhatsApp reminders; the queue screen and ticket printer that come with a clinic management system such as MedicalMet; or a simple number dispenser at the counter.
